 Facial recognition technology is on the rise and it is changing the security systems, marketing strategies, and people’s comfort quickly. Given that people are identified using their facial features, this technology is becoming essential in different fields.

 Facial identification technology identifies the distance between the eyes, the shape of the cheeks, lips, and chin as well as the contours of the ears. These measurements build up a facial geometry, a numerical value that can be matched with a database of faces.

 1. Security: Airport and police use facial recognition to improve security through suspect identification and tracking of their movements.

 Due to this, there is a need to have regulation that will enhance privacy and control of ethical concerns. Thus, the main goal in the future will be the proper management of such technology and weighing its advantages with these shortcomings.
